Sport brings people together – for everyone at HSV.
Sport brings people together – regardless of physical ability. That is why HSV is constantly expanding its range of inclusive sports activities and creating opportunities for people with and without disabilities to take part in sport.
From amputee football and wheelchair sports to tennis for the blind and inclusive darts: our activities enable people to play sport together on an equal footing and encourage participation in club life.
With the support of HSV-Campus gGmbH, Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V. offers people with amputations or dysmelia the opportunity to play football in a club. In 2022, this sports programme was awarded the Werner Otto Prize by the Alexander Otto Foundation.
Amputation football is played on a small pitch using crutches instead of prosthetic legs, and the rules are the same as those of standard football. This fast-paced and dynamic form of football is now played in more than 50 countries worldwide, many of which have national leagues. Whilst outfield players with only one leg can take part in this sport, goalkeepers must have a physical disability affecting an arm or hand.
The new Amputee Football Bundesliga celebrated its debut in the 2021/22 season. Since 2024, HSV has been participating in the Bundesliga for the first time as a team comprising solely HSV players.
When: Training takes place once a month on Saturdays.
Where: At the Paul Hauenschild Sports Complex in Norderstedt, as well as on various dates with the playing community.

HSV has been committed to integration through sport for many years. Through open sports activities and projects, we foster connections and make it easier for people to get involved in club life.
Our programmes are aimed, amongst others, at children, young people, women and adults with a refugee or migrant background, and are continually being developed further.

Der Hamburger Sport-Verein e.V. bietet mit Unterstützung der HSV-Campus gGmbH Menschen mit Amputation oder Dysmelie die Möglichkeit, in einem Verein Fußball zu spielen. 2022 wurde dieses Sportangebot mit dem von der Alexander-Otto-Stiftung verliehenen Werner-Otto-Preis prämiert.
Gespielt wird Amputiertenfußball mit Krücken statt Beinprothesen auf dem Kleinfeld, die Regeln entsprechen denen des normalen Fußballs. Diese rasante und dynamische Art des Fußballs wird inzwischen weltweit in mehr als 50 Ländern gespielt, darunter viele mit einem nationalen Ligabetrieb. Während Feldspieler:innen mit nur einem Bein in dieser Sportart aktiv sein können, ist die Voraussetzung für Torhüter:innen ein körperliches Handicap an Arm oder Hand.
In der Saison 2021/22 feierte die neu Amputiertenfußball-Bundesliga ihre Premiere. Der HSV nimmt seit 2024 erstmal als reine HSV-Mannschaft an der Bundeliga teil.
