HSV to play friendly away to F.C. Copenhagen
Preparations for the 2025/26 Bundesliga season ramp up on 12th July when the Rothosen take on F.C. Copenhagen in a very special friendly fixture in Denmark.
The latest friendly has been added to the HSV pre-season schedule, as head coach Merlin Polzin’s team are set to take on F.C. Copenhagen on Saturday, 12th July 2025, at Parken (kick-off 16:00 CEST). The fixture holds special significance due to the friendship which has existed for many years between the fans of Hamburger SV and F.C. Copenhagen. Both clubs’ fanbases have been calling for a friendly to be played for some time, and their desires will now come into fruition.
The atmosphere at both clubs is also positive from a sporting point of view right now thanks to recent successes. The Danish side won the domestic double during the 2024/25 campaign under head coach Jacob Neestrup to become reigning record national champions. The Rothosen also had cause for celebration come the end of a successful past term after securing promotion back to the Bundesliga. A friendly match between two clubs currently in high spirits, and whose fanbases enjoy a long-lasting friendship, therefore promises to be something very special indeed.
