Nine Rothosen on International Tour
Numerous HSV pros and youngsters will on duty for their National colours in the coming days. HSV.DE provides an overview.
Special honour: No less than nine players from the Rothosen squad are on duty in the service of their national colours in the current international match period. While Laszlo Benes (Slovakia), Anssi Suhonen (Finland), Andras Nemeth (Hungary) and Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer (Ghana) have each been nominated for their country's senior national teams, Ludovit Reis (Netherlands U21), Noah Katterbach (Germany U21), Valon Zumberi (Kosovo U21), Nicolas Kisilowski and Tom Sanne (both Germany U19) are in the line-up of their respective junior national teams.
For the first-named trio, important qualifying matches for the European Championship 2024 are on the agenda: While Benes (against Luxembourg and Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Suhonen (against Denmark and Northern Ireland) are in action on Thursday and Sunday from 8.45pm, Nemeth will face Estonia and Bulgaria on Thursday (from 7.30pm) and Monday (from 8.45pm) respectively. Königsdörffer, in turn, will face Angola twice with the "Black Stars" as part of the Africa Cup qualifiers (Thursday, 23 March, 5pm and Monday, 27 March, 6pm). For their part, the U21 internationals Ludovit Reis and Noah Katterbach will play international friendlies. While the U21 eleven play Norway on Saturday (from 6pm) and the Czech Republic on Monday (from 2pm), the DFB U21s are in action against Japan on Friday (from 6.15pm) and Romania on Tuesday (from 6pm). Zumberi and Kosovo's U21s will again face Moldova (Friday, 24 March) and Turkey (Monday, 27 March). For the last two youngsters mentioned above, Kisilowski and Sanne, the U19 European Championship qualifiers against Italy (Wednesday, 22 March, 12 noon), Belgium (Saturday, 25 March, 4 p.m.) and Slovenia (Tuesday, 28 March, 12 noon) are three matches in which important points are at stake.
