"We are looking forward to the atmosphere"
In the press conference before the away match at F.C. Hansa Rostock, HSV coach Tim Walter spoke about his expectations for the match at the Ostseestadion and the integration of the newcomers, among other things.
After the 4:2 home win against Eintracht Braunschweig, Hamburger SV will be playing away from home for the first time in the 2023 calendar year next Sunday (live on HSVnetradio from 1:15 p.m.): F.C. Hansa Rostock will host the Rothosen as part of the 19th matchday of the second division and will not only be looking to build on their successful start to the second half of the season, but also on their away strength from the first half of the season - 18 points, first place in the away table. In today's press conference, HSV head coach Tim Walter talked about how to achieve this in the heated atmosphere at the Ostseestadion and, among other things, about ...
... the start of the second half of the season: "After an eleven-week break, not everything can be taken for granted. But we did well against Braunschweig. The way we scored goals and created chances was very, very good. In addition, you can never prevent everything. There are little things we can do even better. We are working on the details every day.
... the game in Rostock: We expect a heated atmosphere and are looking forward to it. We like such atmospheres where both sides demand everything from each other. As long as everything stays within bounds, that's fine. We have respect for every team. Everybody tries to get points against us. We will fight against that. There are 16 games left and therefore 16 reasons to stay focused.
... the integration of the newcomers: Our game is a bit more difficult, more fluid and with more rotations. That's why it's a bit difficult to integrate, but all the newcomers are trying to fit in as best they can. We stand for cohesion and continuity. The boys get on well with each other and at the same time have the ambition to always play. I'm basically very happy with the new boys because they accept our idea of the game and get tips from their coaches and teammates if they don't understand something.
