"Decisive moments didn't fall on our side".
HSV lose against SC Paderborn 1-2 at home and were disappointed: Penalty missed, two goals disallowed - it was not the game of the Rothosen.
HSV loses its home match against SC Paderborn with 1:2 (0:1) and looks back on a match in which, as always, a lot was invested, but somehow it didn't go right from the start. The Reds were already trailing 0:1 after 47 seconds, after Dennis Srbeny had overcome HSV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes with a lob from around 40 metres. Walter's team then dictated the game, but the equaliser was not to be found. Shortly after Robert Glatzel had missed the best chance with a penalty kick (58th), Srbeny scored the second time out of nowhere (61st). And when the ball finally floundered in the Paderborn net, the goals by Sebastian Schonlau (78th) and Mikkel Kaufmann (83rd) were taken back for offside. So it was only in injury time that substitute Giorgi Chakvetadze scored the equaliser (90.+3), but that was all on the day. The Hamburg protagonists, Daniel Heuer Fernandes and coach Tim Walter were correspondingly disappointed and annoyed.
Daniel Heuer Fernandes: We invested a lot, played the game and had the upper hand, but in the end Paderborn wins by one and a half shots on goal. that is of course extremely bitter. Our problem is that we didn't take our chances and lacked efficiency. We simply lacked accuracy in our finishing, but we will now quickly work on that and then try again on Tuesday to reward ourselves for our efforts.

Lukas Kwasniok: We're not coming out of a good phase at the moment either, but the game went very well for us. You play here at HSV and know that the spectators are there again, and you take a 1:0 lead with the first action. That led to HSV putting even more pressure on us. We had to run and defend extremely hard. The first leg was very wild, so the approach was different today. We defended our own penalty area extremely disciplined, so I didn't think the half-time lead was undeserved. HSV then risked even more. There were two or three key moments in the game that went in our favour. During HSV's greatest period of pressure, we made it 2-0. At the end of the day, we defended passionately and went home happy.
