HSV warns against dubious ticket offers

Canceled and forged tickets are in circulation for the kick-off against Braunschweig and are being offered on the secondary market. HSV expressly advises that tickets should only be purchased through the official HSV ticket shop.

The anticipation for HSV's second-round opener against Eintracht Braunschweig (29 January, kick-off: 1.30 p.m., live on HSVnetradio) already seems to be enormous among the Rothosen supporters. Almost 52,000 seats have already been allocated for the match. So there will be a full house again. For a few fans, however, the home match day may already end at the gates of the Volksparkstadion. This is because spectators who have purchased their tickets via a non-authorised secondary market dealer run the risk of not being admitted due to a blocked and thus invalid ticket.

HSV has secure information that many invalid tickets were traded via non-authorised platforms such as Viagogo or eBay Kleinanzeigen, among others, for the match against Braunschweig and strongly advises against purchasing tickets via these platforms.

The HSV Online Shop and the HSV Service Centre are the only places where HSV fans can safely purchase tickets at regular prices for the home games of the Rothosen. An overview of the advance sales dates can be found here. There is no other platform offering valid HSV tickets at regular prices.

HSV is already aware of many cases in which injured parties have been sold invalid tickets for the second-round kick-off against Eintracht Braunschweig. Unfortunately, such dubious offers are constantly increasing in times of digital tickets and tools for image processing.

Therefore: To avoid disappointment when entering the stadium, HSV strongly advises against purchasing tickets from unknown third parties or via non-authorised platforms such as Viagogo. Anyone who should have purchased a ticket via a non-authorised platform can request information on validity at the following e-mail address:  agb@hsv.de.

Information on the regular secondary market

HSV offers all ticket purchasers the option of returning tickets, which is why there is no comprehensible reason to use unauthorised platforms to pass on tickets. A corresponding cancellation form can be requested from the HSV Service Centre.

In addition, it is of course permissible to pass on tickets at the regular price in a private environment without using internet platforms. However, we recommend that tickets are only passed on to known and trustworthy persons.

By the way: Season ticket holders who are unable to attend a home match can officially resell their seat via the HSV-Ticketbörse.
