Performance testing for HSV players on Wednesday and Thursday
Before the official start of pre-season on Friday, the ‘Rothosen’ have an extensive range of health and performance-related tests to complete.
The official start of pre-season training is getting ever closer. While the fans will be looking forward to Friday (30th June, 14:00 CEST), when pre-season officially gets underway on the training pitches alongside the Volksparkstadion, captain Schonlau and the rest of the squad began a couple of days earlier with performance testing.

Performance testing is taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, with the players put through their paces ahead of the start of pre-season. Jumping, strength and speed exercises as well as medical examinations are on the agenda for Moritz Heyer and his teammates, taking place both at the Volksparkstadion and at UKE Athleticum.
New signings Guilherme Ramos and Levin Öztunali will also take part. The same goes for Robin Meißner and Stephan Ambrosius, who were out on loan last season. Laszlo Benes and Andras Nemeth, who were out injured until recently, have also been able to take part in testing, as have academy players Tom Sanne, Omar Megeed and Nicolas Kisilowski. Ludovit Reis, who is away on international duty with the Netherlands U21s at the U21 EUROs, as well as Valon Zumberi, Ransford Königsdörffer und Anssi Suhonen, who have an extended holiday having taken part in international duty after the end of the season, will be absent on Wednesday and Thursday, but will do the tests at a later date. Goalkeeper Marko Johansson is currently looking for a new club.
