Voice's from the Game

"We are disappointed and have to work through the game".
HSV clearly missed out on victory in Düsseldorf, but at least saved a point with a last-minute goal. Accordingly, the voices of the protagonists were mixed after the game.
A crazy final phase marked Hamburger SV's away game in the 27th Zweitliga match at Fortuna Düsseldorf: Bodzek scored the opening goal for the hosts in the 85th minute and seemed to have set the course for victory late on. But at the same time, the F95 captain unwillingly kissed the previously harmless HSV offensive awake, which created three XXL chances with the courage of despair and used the last of them to equalise 1-1: A Kittel corner was extended by Alidou with his head to centre forward Glatzel, who also pushed the ball over the line with a header for 1-1 (90.+3). The Hamburg team thus saved a point late on, but were hardly convincing for long stretches of the game and were therefore very self-critical after the game.
Sebastian Schonlau: "When you score a goal late, you have to be satisfied with a point. But our way of playing football was lacking today. Normally we are very different with and against the ball and also in the duels. Today, the negative aspects outweigh the positive. We are disappointed and have to work through the game. We have two weeks now, we have to do everything we can in training and ideally not think about it any more.
Robert Glatzel: The point is more than happy and the only positive thing about this game. It was the weakest half of the season. A lot of things were missing today. We weren't able to show at all what distinguishes us. We were too slow, hardly created any chances and didn't fight our duels consistently. Düsseldorf showed us how it's done.
Tim Walter: We didn't play a good game today. At no time did we get what we wanted on the pitch. We were too ponderous, had little energy and power in our game, which invited the opponent to easy counterattacks. Nevertheless, it speaks for us that we believed in ourselves until the end and were rewarded. We are happy about that because we see that the boys keep going.
