"We completely deserved to win".
With a 3:0 win, the Red Shorts clinched their third home victory in a row and finished the first half of the season in third place. The protagonists were correspondingly happy after the final whistle. The comments on the game.
After the well-deserved 3-0 home win against F.C. Hansa Rostock, there were many happy faces at HSV: keeper Marko Johansson and his team-mates were happy about the next game without conceding a goal, attacker Robert Glatzel and his two children celebrated his second brace in the HSV kit, and together with their other team-mates, they all let themselves be celebrated by the fans in the sold-out Volksparkstadion with 15,000 spectators. With the victory, HSV climbed to third place in the first half of the season and will face FC Schalke 04, who are level on points, next Saturday. HSV.de caught the votes after the game and saw happy players.
Robert Glatzel: "The victory was well deserved, especially in the first half, because we played very dominant and created many chances. Of course, the early goals helped us a lot and played right into our hands. In the second half, there was a bit more headwind from the opponent, which is why we had a bit less control at times. After 20 minutes, however, we dominated again, which is why I think the victory is completely justified. Of course I'm happy that I scored again after a longer period of time and that I could help the team.
Jan Gyamerah: An early goal always gives you security, and the second goal made us more confident. Except for the 15 minutes after the break, when Hansa put on a lot of pressure, we didn't waver. Overall, we were stable again, ran the ball well and deserved to win.
Tim Walter: We played very, very well going forward in the first half. After half-time, things changed because Rostock took more risks. It took us 20 minutes to sort ourselves out again. After that, we played very well again and scored the third goal. In the end, we deserved to win against good and aggressive Rostock players who demanded everything from us in this respect.
Jens Härtel: Congratulations to HSV, who got a deserved win against us. It annoys me that the two goals came too easily and according to a pattern we discussed in advance. When you're 2-0 down here, it's hard. It was a more open game until the 70th minute. After that, HSV created many good chances. The third goal against us put the lid on it. All in all, it wasn't good enough today.
