"We have to be even more precise in this area."
In the Press Conference before the away game at SC Paderborn, HSV Head Coach Tim Walter talked about all the relevant topics concerining the Rothosen
Three draws in a row have not made Tim Walter happy either. The ambitious HSV head coach always wants to achieve the maximum success with his courageous game idea, but recently effort and return have not been in optimal proportion. A turnaround in results is now to be achieved next Friday (22 October, kick-off: 6.30 pm) in Paderborn, although the host Sportclub represents a high sporting hurdle. The East Westphalians are in fourth place after ten matchdays and already have 18 points to their name. Coach Walter explained in today's press conference why HSV's chosen path is the right one, what role Sebastian Schonlau plays in the approach and what strengths the opponent has to watch out for.
The HSV head coach spoke in detail about...
... captain Sebastian Schonlau, who is returning to his old stomping ground: "He is very communicative, we have a very intensive exchange. I trust him, that's why he's the captain. He leads the way and has a lot to offer in terms of football. Accordingly, he plays a very important role.
"Paderborn is characterised by an external compactness and a good switching game."
... the strengths of the SCP: "There are some teams that are further up than expected. SC Paderborn is one of them, characterised by an extreme compactness and a good switching game. Of course, Sven Michel is very dangerous up front, but he also gets a lot of service. That speaks for the team cohesion of the SCP.
... the mood: Of course we are not happy about a draw either. Internally, we agree that we have a lot of support, but we also want to pay back in the form of victories. The people around us go along with the path we've taken and think it's good, but in the end it's always about results.
... the suboptimal relationship between effort and return: The boys are always ready to invest everything. Sometimes we don't do it the best way, like when we conceded a goal against Düsseldorf. As far as the chances are concerned, it's more and more difficult to finish in front because the space is getting tighter. We have to be more precise and more efficient in that area.
