HSV sign Khaled Narey

The 23-year-old winger has moved from Greuther Fürth and signed a contract with the Rothosen until 2022.

The HSV squad is starting to take more shape. On Tuesday, sporting director Ralf Becker confirmed the fourth new signing of the summer. Khaled Narey, a 23-year-old winger, has moved from SpVgg Greuther Fürth to Hamburg. He is two-footed, has German-Togolese citizenship and used to play for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in his youth before moving to Borussia Dortmund II, SC Paderborn and Greuther Fürth. He completed his medical at UKE Athleticum on Tuesday morning. Following that, he signed a four-year contract that will run until 2022.

“Khaled is a very solid, verstatile winger, who can play in defence or further forward,” says Ralf Becker. Narey started for Fürth 34 times last season and was one of their absolute top performers. He has scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 79 games in the second division.

Narey is looking forward to the challenge of moving to Hamburg. “I can really identify with the way which HSV want to move forward. My goal is also to play in the Bundesliga. The talks I had with Mr. Titz and Mr. Becker totally convinced me that this was the place for me,” said Narey after signing his contract.
