Andre Killian appointed new assistant coach at HSV

The 31-year-old has signed a contract until 30th June 2019. The previous coaching duo of Soner Uysal and Matthias Kreutzer will play no further part of Christian Titz’ training team.

Next season, HSV will see some changes to its coaching setup. On Thursday (21st June), Andre Kilian signed a contract until 30th June 2019. The former FC Schalke 04 youth player ended his playing career at FC Homburg in the summer of 2017, where he later took up the position of assistant coach.

Kilian and Titz know each other well from their days at FC Homburg. The 31-year-old played at the Saarland-based club for six years, the first three of which under the guidance of Titz (July 2011 to April 2014). After their promotion to the Regionalliga, Titz named Kilian his club captain and described him as his “extended arm on the football pitch”. The pair developed a strong bond and will continue to build on that ingrained trust as a coaching team at HSV.

The two former assistant coaches Soner Uysal and Matthias Kreutzer will no longer be a part of the training team and will be released from the club.
