HSV’s head coach is Markus Gisdol

The club board reached agreement with the head coach and two co-trainers who will be officially introduced on Monday.

HSV have appointed a new head coach following the dismissal of Bruno Labbadia at the weekend. The club announced that they have secured the services of Markus Gisdol on Sunday evening (25.09). The 47 year old will be officially introduced to the media on Monday. Gisdol was in charge fellow Bundesliga club of TSG Hoffenheim until October 2015. He comes to the Volksparkstadion with co-trainers Frank Fröhling and Frank Kaspari. The trio will hold their first training session on Monday. Gisdol travelled to Hamburg on Sunday and agreed terms on a short term contract which expires on June 30th 2017.
