HSV supervisory board election adjourned

Controversial discussions dominate the general meeting of HSV Fußball AG. Shareholders agree on further internal talks on the selection of candidates for the new supervisory body.

On Thursday, the general meeting of HSV Fußball AG took place in the business premises of the Volkspark Stadium. "We had many controversial discussions, which in the end should lead to a positive result for HSV," said Marcell Jansen, President of the club and Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

The shareholders discharged the board of HSV Fußball AG for the 2021/22 financial year. With regard to the recently much-discussed public replacement of the supervisory board, the shareholders agreed after controversial discussions to hold further internal talks on the selection of candidates. This means that the current Supervisory Board in the person of Marcell Jansen, Dr. Andreas C. Peters, Markus Frömming, Michael Papenfuß, Dr. Hans-Walter Peters and Lena Schrum will remain in office until the next Annual General Meeting.

The next meeting is scheduled to take place soon. Until then, the selection of candidates for the supervisory body will be intensively discussed and internally coordinated. "I see this decision as a good compromise because we are moving towards each other," said Jansen.

Another positive result of the meeting: the topic of sustainability will be anchored in the statutes of HSV Fußball AG with immediate effect.
